What is Micro Pave?

Micro Pavé is the technique of setting many, incredibly small round brilliant cut diamonds close together, leaving little metal visible on a mounting, and creating lots of sparkle. The micro pavé technique leaves the effect of a smoother more uniform surface. The diamonds used are extremely small, but contrary to a common misconception the stones are actually full cut, modern round brilliant cut diamonds. These tiny diamonds, sometimes .005ct, can therefore be used on more delicate settings than regular pavé -settings including the hoop of a ring, which is a fabulous and custom look. Small round, faceted colored stones can also be used for a splash of color. This style is perfect for stacking bands, especially using colored diamonds, hoop earrings or jackets and ring mountings!
